Our history dates back to 1952. We cover the whole of the Grampian area with offices in Aberdeen, Elgin, Huntly and Peterhead.

Couple Counselling
We operate a voluntary service, which provides a confidential counselling service for people who have difficulties in their personal relationship. Counselling will help people deal with specific problems such as family issues, violence, infidelity and sexual difficulties. Where a relationship has broken down, the counsellors will try to help the partners cope with the pain of separation, deal with the impact of separation on any children involved and start to pick up the pieces of their lives.

The organisation's belief is that healthy relationships are fundamental to the well being of family life in our community and we can assist people in maintaining their relationships.

All clients who can do so are asked to make a contribution for each counselling session but no one is turned away because they cannot afford to.

Options Counselling
This is a fast track counselling service for clients who can afford to pay the full cost of £50 per session. Under this service clients will be offered a counselling session sooner.

Young Persons Counselling Service
This is a confidential counselling service for young people between the ages of 11 and 18 who are unhappy, unsettled or worried about their parents' conflict, separation or relationship breakdown. The service is also for young people who are having difficulties settling into a new stepfamily.

Surviving the Break Up
This is a five week course for people who have recently been divorced or separated. The course is run in partnership with Family Mediation Grampian and deals with: Adult's Emotional Experience, Legal Aspects of Separation and Divorce, Children's Emotional Experience and Social Aspects and Moving On.
