Counselling

Everyone who works within the framework of Couple Counselling Scotland is bound by a duty of confidentiality towards all clients who seek help. Nothing learned from clients, including the fact of their visit, or that they made an initial enquiry, will be passed on to anyone outside the service without the clients express permission or when there is a clear legal duty to do so.

Counselling takes place in local centres. Counsellors are fully trained volunteers who work part time and provide counselling for a wide range of people, regardless of race, religion, marital status or sexual orientation. Our selection and training process ensures that counsellors are well trained and well supervised.

Counselling is arranged by contacting any one of our Couple Counselling Services throughout Scotland. Some services have additional counselling centres in their region. Most also offer a Sexual and Relationship Therapy Service.

Volunteer counsellors are drawn to the work because they see it as a valuable way of helping people with difficulties and anxieties in their personal relationships eg:- .

If you would like a leaflet which tells you more about how to become a Couple Counsellor you should telephone us on 0845 119 6088 or your nearest Independent Couple Counselling Organisation.
